Wi-LAN boosts wireless patent portfolio to 370
Ottawa-based WiLAN Inc has purchased more than 125 issued and pending wireless patents from NextWave Broadband Inc, San Diego CA, for an undisclosed sum that will be paid in FY09/Q03. The acquisition boosts Wi-LAN's wireless patent portfolio to more than 370 , adding to recent patent acquisitions from Airspan, SR Telecom, TRLabs and Infineon.
